  • How long does stump grinding take, and what's left behind on my property?

    Most standard stumps are ground down in under an hour, leaving behind wood chips you can spread as mulch or have hauled away.   • Does stump grinding completely remove the stump, or will roots and regrowth still be a problem?

    Stump grinding removes the visible stump and grinds it below ground level, which eliminates the base that fuels regrowth. While deep lateral roots naturally decay over time on their own, the treated area is left flush with the surrounding ground so it no longer poses a tripping hazard or disrupts new planting.

  • What happens to my yard after stump grinding — will the area be cleaned up and level?

    After grinding, the area is left level and filled with the resulting wood chip material, so there is no sunken hole or raised mound left behind. You can use those chips as natural mulch for garden beds or request that they be cleared from the site entirely, leaving a clean, ready-to-use surface.
